In New Zealand, education is compulsory for all students aged between six and 16 years. The time duration of the undergraduate program can be anywhere between 6 months and 4 years based upon the studies and the specialization. The course fees for the undergraduate program usually range between 10,000 to 16,000 NZ $. The teaching pattern is both class room lectures and practical sessions. The polytechnic institutes in the country are known for providing higher degree of practical orientation. After the completion of undergraduate studies, students can opt for employment, graduate studies and post graduate studies.
 
Graduate Studies
There are around 20 universities in New Zealand that offer graduate and post graduate studies. These universities provide a wide variety and specialization of courses. Admissions are comparatively much higher in international university in graduate studies. The course duration of the graduate studies can be 2 years till the completion. These courses offer much higher supervision and focus, in which some of them have compulsory internship and thesis.
